Voting day is November 7th.  What does that mean this year?  Local government offices like mayor and city council are determined by this year’s election. Midterm elections, happening November 6, 2018, are for selecting members of congress at the state and national level among other positions.  Each state is slightly different for state-run offices. 

Midterm elections get less attention than during presidential election years.  Those statistics aren’t all bad, however, and trends are showing that upcoming generations are getting more politically active and manage to make it to the ballot box.  Cool!

Bottom line? Go vote, every year, every election.  And in between those elections become informed, know the issues, choose wisely… or run yourself!
